Surely the tech trend of 09, this is the best execution I’ve seen yet for the phenomenon which is augmented reality.  From Total Immersion, they have created animated Pokemon trading cards with a live video flow with 3D components. The craziest thing is how these cards can interact with each other…very nice.

The saviour for Palm

I think people new that Palm had to release something at CES this year, I don’t think anyone knew that would take away the honor of best in show with their new Palm Pre. Pretty slick looking device, I think people are going to like the form factor quite a bit since it seems to have the best of both words as in the hardware keyboard and capacitive touchscreen.  I actually think the OS looks pretty innovative, its a web OS which means multitasking and developing apps for this device will be a breeze.  The UI looks pretty well thought and and fluid as well, all in all a pretty good milestone for a company that was barely treading water. How this will compare to the Nokia N97 and rumors of new HTC android devices coming out soon will be the question…what ever happened to windows mobile?

Don’t call me a netbook. Say hello to the Sony Vaio P.

This is officially my next netbook ulra portable when it comes out in the UK.  Just introduced at CES and its already been handled by pretty much everyone who’s anyone and the reviews are mixed.  Is it too small? Not enough horsepower under the hood to handle Vista?  Engadget has a hands on review, I don’t care what they say – it’s a done deal as soon as it hits the shelf.
